paneer with coconut gravy

Heya all,
    As per one of my friends suggestion, Ill try to write this with proper spellings and punctuation. I am so much influenced with this chat style typing.
     So, here I am with my official first recipe in this blg..oops..MY blog ;)
     and yes...i could not think any better name than this. I liked it. Hope you guys also like the name.
As the name suggests it was just an attempt to combine the south indan gravy with paneer. I know its no innovation but yes it was my first attempt and guess what everyone loved it.
      so lets go for the ingredients and the method.

INGREDIENTS
For Grinding:
  • Coconut                      1/4th a cup
  • Ginger                        a little(about 1" piece)
  • Red Chillies                 5-6 nos(depends how spicy you like it)
  • Tamarind                    Gooseberry size
  • Coriander seeds           1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds(jeera)      1.5 teaspoons

Other Ingredients:
  • Onion                                    1(finly chopped)
  • Tomato                                 1(finely chopped)
  • Paneer                                  Diced
  • Coconut milk/Normal milk        1 cup
  • Turmeric Powder                     very little
  • Salt                                      To taste
PROCEDURE

  1. Grind the items under the grinding ingredients mentioned above and make a smooth paste. Add coconut milk/normal milk for consistency.
  2. In a pan add oil and turmeric powder and then add onion and saute till golden brown.
  3. Then add tomatoes and cook till it is well cooked ( for those who dont know - Its cooked if it starts secreting oil from the side)
  4. To this add the paste we prepared and and add salt.
  5. Add the remaining coconut milk/normal milk to get good consistency.
  6. Add paneer cubes once the gravy is done. 
NOTE : Paneer can be grilled also if u want..





and hey you can garnish it with coriander leaves.
