LOVE OR RESPONSIBILITY?

Hi everyone,
I am kind of catching up with blogging and though, I know, I am not a pro at it and not receiving an amazing response and huge audience, I feel persistence and patience would one day reap well. Also, I really appreciate and thank my friends and readers who take time out from their schedule and go through my posts.
So, coming to the topic- LOVE OR RESPONSIBILITY. Don't you all agree that these two terms are so much interconnected yet so exclusive from each other.
One fine Sunday, I wake up and MAKE my cup of coffee and relax on my couch. Such coffee mornings are very thought provoking, I must say. I felt life is so dynamic. Habits, interests and so many other things change with time. For example: almost an year back ,I used to wake up- wish my mom good morning (to tell her that i have woken up :P ), brush my teeth and sit on the sofa with the newspaper, waiting for my mom to call out for me - Aishi kaapi eduthukko ( Aishi grab your coffee).
My mom kept saying this will not be the same after you get married, but guess she was wrong,  this was same even after i got married. I used to get up, brush my teeth and go to kitchen to wish mother in laws (amma and 2 chithis) and sit there and chat with them or sit with my father in law and chat with him or read the paper. One of my MILs gives me coffee in my hand. ( Touch wood)

All this was love or responsibility?

Everyday morning even before we wake up, mom wakes up, makes our breakfast, lunch to carry, tries to inculcate all the nutrition in that small steel or Tupperware box. Why?
And this is not just about mom, I still remember, when i was in school, my dad used to polish my shoes- all shiny black and clean white the previous night itself. He used to keep a check on whether my uniform was ironed or not? Every weekend he either made noodles or maggi for me or bought me breakfast from outside. Why?

All this was love or responsibility?

This entire article is not just to tell the importance of my parents or want everyone to realize about it. This is about how we had taken all this to be their duty or responsibility. I never asked my parents to do anything, yet they did it or i should say they still do it. I am sure all of ours parents irrespective of their ability, status, they all try to go a step extra and do something for us.
There were many a times when i never understood why my mom used to get angry if I would forget my dabba (lunch box), but now i realized it. It wasn't the anger but the worry "what would my kid eat?" Its the concern which comes out, but not the frustration. They are not bored doing all this in a routine. They never shouted "gimme a break" Isn't it?

All this was love or responsibility?

Today, I realize all of it was LOVE. I don't know if i will be able to thank them for whatever they have done so far to me. But ill probably would do it for my next generation or my near and dear ones without any expectation.

I am sure all of you would have also had such thoughtful coffee time as mine. So, share yours in the comment section and let people know about it.

Until then byee!

  3. Parents usually shower upon us unconditional and selfless love no matter what. They come out of their comfort zone and push their limits so that we can be happy and void of all the hardship which they went through at their early age.
And hence I feel they are my biggest assets that I possess anytime.
Loads of love for my Kuksi and Pops
